About Us

Empowering Lives Through Education, Care and Opportunity

Membuggus Foundation is a non-profit, non-political organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and disadvantaged members of society through education, welfare support, disability inclusion, and community empowerment.

Founded in 2021, our journey began with a simple act of compassion. Following the passing of a close friend, we stepped in to support her two children in Nairobi, Kenya, ensuring that they could continue their education without interruption. What started as a commitment to help one family soon evolved into a broader mission to support vulnerable children facing similar challenges.

As the impact of our work became evident, we expanded our reach beyond Nairobi to Baringo County and Western Kenya. Today, Membuggus Foundation supports children and communities across multiple regions of Kenya and Uganda, providing educational opportunities and essential welfare assistance to those who need it most.

Our Commitment to Education

We believe that education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking the cycle of poverty and creating lasting change. For this reason, we identify children from underprivileged backgrounds and enrol them in reputable schools where they can receive a quality education.

Our Foundation fully covers secondary school fees from Form 1 to Form 4 and provides comprehensive support for primary school students. Through our sponsorship programmes, children are able to remain in school, pursue their ambitions, and build brighter futures without the burden of financial hardship.

Thanks to the support of our donors and partners, many children under our care have never missed a day of school due to lack of school fees.

Supporting More Than Education

While education remains at the heart of our mission, we recognise that children thrive when their basic needs are met. We therefore work to support vulnerable children and families by helping provide essential necessities such as food, clothing, clean water, shelter, and emotional support.

We are also committed to supporting children living with disabilities by promoting inclusive education, sponsoring their educational needs, and raising awareness about conditions such as cerebral palsy. Through advocacy and community engagement, we strive to create environments where every child is valued, included, and given the opportunity to succeed.
